Faith in the Morning, Thankfulness in the Evening.

It is good to give thanks to the LORD, to sing praises to the Most High. It is good to proclaim Your unfailing love in the morning, Your faithfulness in the evening, (‭Psalms‬ ‭92‬:‭1-2‬ NLT)

This is a wonderful pattern we should all have in our lives.

It is good to give thanks to the Lord.

It is good to sing praises to the Most High.

It is good to proclaim His unfailing love in the morning.  Why?  It is a sign of faith.  It is a sign of trust.

It is good to recount the day, and see that He was once again faithful.

The Lord is worthy of all praise.  This morning I know He will help me in all of meetings.  His Holy Spirit will give me the words to speak.  He will help me be the best husband and father I can be.  He knows the number of hairs on my head.  He knows my concerns.  He said if I will seek Him first, and His righteousness, He will take care of the rest.  He said not to worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow has enough cares, rather He wants me to focus on today.  So, that is exactly what I will do.  I know if He is for me, it doesn’t really matter who is against me.

Even In These Circumstances!

But as for me, afflicted and in pain— may Your salvation, God, protect me. I will praise God’s name in song and glorify Him with thanksgiving. This will please the Lord more than an ox, more than a bull with its horns and hooves.

The Lord hears the needy and does not despise His captive people. (‭Psalm‬ ‭69‬:‭29-31, 33‬ NIV)

Circumstances does not allow us to stop praising the Lord.

I Wonder

As he was going into a village, ten men who had leprosy met him. They stood at a distance and called out in a loud voice, “Jesus, Master, have pity on us!” When he saw them, he said, “Go, show yourselves to the priests.” And as they went, they were cleansed. One of them, when he saw he was healed, came back, praising God in a loud voice. He threw himself at Jesus’ feet and thanked him—and he was a Samaritan. Jesus asked, “Were not all ten cleansed? Where are the other nine? Has no one returned to give praise to God except this foreigner?” (‭Luke‬ ‭17‬:‭12-18‬ NIV)

Be Comforted and Comfort

But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus. For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words. (‭I Thessalonians‬ ‭4‬:‭13-18‬ NKJV)

Be comforted, and be a comforter!

Fear, Trust, Anxiety, Peace, Immovable Object

For “He has put all things under His feet.” But when He says “all things are put under Him, ” it is evident that He who put all things under Him is excepted. Now when all things are made subject to Him, then the Son Himself will also be subject to Him who put all things under Him, that God may be all in all.

Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord. (‭I Corinthians‬ ‭15‬:‭27-28, 58‬ NKJV)

These verses are from the same chapter, but I believe verse 58 is an encouragement to all of scripture.

1 or 9 Which One is Better?

Then as He entered a certain village, there met Him ten men who were lepers, who stood afar off. And they lifted up their voices and said, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!” So when He saw them, He said to them, “Go, show yourselves to the priests.” And so it was that as they went, they were cleansed. And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, returned, and with a loud voice glorified God, and fell down on his face at His feet, giving Him thanks. And he was a Samaritan. So Jesus answered and said, “Were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine? (‭Luke‬ ‭17‬:‭12-17‬ NKJV)

Am I the one or the nine?
