Short, Direct, and Truth!

I want you to know how much I have agonized for you and for the church at Laodicea, and for many other believers who have never met me personally. I want them to be encouraged and knit together by strong ties of love. I want them to have complete confidence that they understand God’s mysterious plan, which is Christ himself. In him lie hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. I am telling you this so no one will deceive you with well-crafted arguments. For though I am far away from you, my heart is with you. And I rejoice that you are living as you should and that your faith in Christ is strong. (‭Colossians‬ ‭2‬:‭1-5‬ NLT)

Remember these truths:

1. You are loved!

2. You should love!

3. All the mysteries and treasures of wisdom lie in Christ, and what He willingly did for us!

4. Do not ever let anything sway you from that truth!

All You Need To Know!

Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation, for through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can’t see— such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through him and for him. He existed before anything else, and he holds all creation together. Christ is also the head of the church, which is his body. He is the beginning, supreme over all who rise from the dead. So he is first in everything. For God in all his fullness was pleased to live in Christ, and through him God reconciled everything to himself. He made peace with everything in heaven and on earth by means of Christ’s blood on the cross.
So we tell others about Christ, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all the wisdom God has given us. We want to present them to God, perfect in their relationship to Christ. That’s why I work and struggle so hard, depending on Christ’s mighty power that works within me. (‭Colossians‬ ‭1‬:‭15-20, 28-29‬ NLT)

I don’t know who reads my journals.  I don’t know who reads the tweets and Facebook posts.  It may be all people who believe in Jesus Christ, but maybe there are some who don’t as well.  Jesus has done amazing things for me and my family, and I will serve Him all of my life. Paul and Timothy writing to the church of Colosse share the truth of who Jesus is clearly, and why I serve Him the way I do.  I am not sure I could explain it any better.

So, if you have questions about why I am believer in Jesus Christ.  If you have questions about why I am Pastor.  I am happy to answer as best I can.  But I want you to know I passionately believe that Jesus Christ is my Savior, and I am thankful that He made peace with everything in heaven and earth by the shedding of Jesus’ blood and His dying on the cross.

Unrighteous Anger Kills

“Take the staff, and you and your brother Aaron gather the assembly together. Speak to that rock before their eyes and it will pour out its water. You will bring water out of the rock for the community so they and their livestock can drink.” So Moses took the staff from the Lord’s presence, just as he commanded him. He and Aaron gathered the assembly together in front of the rock and Moses said to them, “Listen, you rebels, must we bring you water out of this rock?” Then Moses raised his arm and struck the rock twice with his staff. Water gushed out, and the community and their livestock drank. But the Lord said to Moses and Aaron, “Because you did not trust in me enough to honor me as holy in the sight of the Israelites, you will not bring this community into the land I give them.” These were the waters of Meribah, where the Israelites quarreled with the Lord and where he was proved holy among them. (‭Numbers‬ ‭20‬:‭8-13‬ NIV)

Wow, even Moses & Aaron made mistakes that carried significant consequences!
