Pass It On!

So the people served the LORD all the days of Joshua, and all the days of the elders who outlived Joshua, who had seen all the great works of the LORD which He had done for Israel. Now Joshua the son of Nun, the servant of the LORD, died when he was one hundred and ten years old.

When all that generation had been gathered to their fathers, another generation arose after them who did not know the LORD nor the work which He had done for Israel. (‭Judges‬ ‭2‬:‭7-8, 10‬ NKJV)

This is a sad commentary!

The End Goal Is….

“King Agrippa, I consider myself fortunate to stand before you today as I make my defense against all the accusations of the Jews, and especially so because you are well acquainted with all the Jewish customs and controversies. Therefore, I beg you to listen to me patiently. At this point Festus interrupted Paul’s defense. “You are out of your mind, Paul!” he shouted. “Your great learning is driving you insane.” Then Agrippa said to Paul, “Do you think that in such a short time you can persuade me to be a Christian?” Paul replied, “Short time or long—I pray to God that not only you but all who are listening to me today may become what I am, except for these chains.” (‭Acts‬ ‭26‬:‭2-3, 24, 28-29‬ NIV) Example for us all.

Are We Willing To Do Whatever Is Needed?

So Joshua did as Moses said to him, and fought with Amalek. And Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill. And so it was, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed; and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed. But Moses’ hands became heavy; so they took a stone and put it under him, and he sat on it. And Aaron and Hur supported his hands, one on one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun. So Joshua defeated Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword. (‭Exodus‬ ‭17‬:‭10-13‬ NKJV)

Jesus Practiced What He Preached

“If you love Me, keep My commandments.

But that the world may know that I love the Father, and as the Father gave Me commandment, so I do. Arise, let us go from here. (‭John‬ ‭14‬:‭15, 31‬ NKJV)

Jesus practiced what He preached.

They Shall No Longer Say

In His days Judah will be saved, And Israel will dwell safely; Now this is His name by which He will be called: THE Lord OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS. “Therefore, behold, the days are coming,” says the LORD, “that they shall no longer say, ‘As the LORD lives who brought up the children of Israel from the land of Egypt,’ but, ‘As the LORD lives who brought up and led the descendants of the house of Israel from the north country and from all the countries where I had driven them.’ And they shall dwell in their own land.” (‭Jeremiah‬ ‭23‬:‭6-8‬ NKJV)

Jesus was going to bring His people back from captivity. They could count on it.
