What Does Jesus’ First Miracle Mean For Me?

On the third day there was a wedding in Cana of Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there.

And when they ran out of wine, the mother of Jesus said to Him, “They have no wine.”

Jesus said to them, “Fill the waterpots with water.” And they filled them up to the brim.

And he said to him, “Every man at the beginning sets out the good wine, and when the guests have well drunk, then the inferior. You have kept the good wine until now!” (‭John‬ ‭2‬:‭1, 3, 7, 10‬ NKJV)

Jesus first miracle was what?

What Does God Really Think About Me? I Mean Really!

42And he brought him to Jesus.

Now when Jesus looked at him, He said, “You are Simon the son of Jonah. You shall be called Cephas” (which is translated, A Stone).

John 1:42

One word from the Lord, one verse of scripture, or one revelation can change your life forever!

Can’t Hear the Voice the Lord? Try This…

Behold, the LORD’s hand is not shortened, That it cannot save; Nor His ear heavy, That it cannot hear. But your iniquities have separated you from your God; And your sins have hidden His face from you, So that He will not hear. (‭Isaiah‬ ‭59‬:‭1-2‬ NKJV)

Bless the LORD, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies,

The LORD is merciful and gracious, Slow to anger, and abounding in mercy.

As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us. (‭Psalms‬ ‭103‬:‭2-4, 8, 12‬ NKJV)

Have you ever been at that point in your life where you feel like your prayers are bouncing off the ceiling?

Promises to Israel and His Bride…This is My Heritage!

17No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from Me,” says the Lord. (Isaiah 54:17)

I am not one who believes in “replacement theology.” This is where the promises of the Lord given to Israel have been made null and void by the death, resurrection, and ascension of Christ Jesus.  In fact, John is pretty clear that the church has been grafted into the vine.  With that being a true a statement, then the promises made to Israel allow for the church to be blessed as well as the Children of Israel.  It does not remove Israel.  It is not a new vine!

Want To Be Productive…If/Then

As His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love. For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. (‭II Peter‬ ‭1‬:‭3-8‬ NKJV)

I want to be productive in my life, and this passage of scripture is a clear if/then principle.

I Am Alone… My Choice is Bitterness or Faith!

16At my first defense no one stood with me, but all forsook me. May it not be charged against them.

17But the Lord stood with me and strengthened me, so that the message might be preached fully through me, and that all the Gentiles might hear. Also I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.   (2 Timothy 4:16-17)
Paul is in prison, and writing to Timothy, his son in the faith.  He has already been tried once, and realized there was no one to stand with him, or for him, during his trial.  However, he still understood that God was with him in spite of man not being there.

If It is Really the End…Then What?

7But the end of all things is at hand; therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers. 8And above all things have fervent love for one another, for “love will cover a multitude of sins.” 9Be hospitable to one another without grumbling. 10As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. 11If anyone speaks, let him speak as the oracles of God. If anyone ministers, let him do it as with the ability which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.  1 Peter 4:7-11

The end is going to come at some point.  Scripture is clear that Christ IS going to return again soon.  I for one can’t wait.  Every mile stone we hit, that I could have done without, reminds me how much I wish Jesus Christ would return now!

How to Beat the Lies of the Enemy!

Then the Rabshakeh stood and called out with a loud voice in Hebrew, and said, “Hear the words of the great king, the king of Assyria! Thus says the king: ‘Do not let Hezekiah deceive you, for he will not be able to deliver you; nor let Hezekiah make you trust in the LORD, saying, “The LORD will surely deliver us; this city will not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria.” ’ Do not listen to Hezekiah; for thus says the king of Assyria: ‘Make peace with me by a present and come out to me; and every one of you eat from his own vine and every one from his own fig tree, and every one of you drink the waters of his own cistern; (Isaiah 36:13-16 NKJV)

Have you ever felt like this? The enemy is yelling at you in a language you understand. What the enemy has to say in the natural makes sense, but you know it is a violation of what you are supposed to do?

How To Love Life

Finally, all of you be of one mind, having compassion for one another; love as brothers, be tenderhearted, be courteous; not returning evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary blessing, knowing that you were called to this, that you may inherit a blessing. For
“He who would love life And see good days, Let him refrain his tongue from evil, And his lips from speaking deceit. Let him turn away from evil and do good; Let him seek peace and pursue it. For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, And His ears are open to their prayers;
But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.”  1 Peter 3:8-12

As I read this today, I am reminded how black and white I am. I love a direct path, and do this, don’t do that line of thinking. It makes things so much easier. I also realize there are people who want to get there on their own. I will never understand you, but I know you exist. lol
